This bespoke bear comes from the Vermont Teddybear Factory. One day I decided the little cub could would benefit from some clout. I made him the drippiest thing money can buy, a supreme hoodie. This is the first time I delved into making clothes for already existing stuffed animals.
One of my favorite manga, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is an experience to say the least. Everything is a Jojo reference. The author, Hirohiko Araki is known for his complex art, fashion, and color palettes. He’s even done collaborations with Gucci. Making a plush from his franchise was a no brainer. I had to go with Soft and Wet, the stand of the main protagonist of part 8, Josuke Higashikita.
The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker is considered a masterpiece among Zelda Fans. I hadn’t played it until late 2020. Sailing with the King of Red Lions was a magical experience. Together we explored new areas, solved puzzles, and saved Hyrule. I always thought the Zelda franchise was lacking in the plushie regard. The end result of my time with the game was a plushie I consider to be one of my best.
This plush is of Ness, the main character of the cult-classic Earthbound. It is my favorite game and was very influential to my adolescence. A game that never quite permeated western culture, some consider it a literary masterpiece. This is a work that is quite important to me and I am elated with how it came out.
The mascot of my alma mater, Wake Forest University helped form me into the artist I am today. I never quite thought our mascot, the Demon Deacon, could be cute or cuddly. I wasn’t happy with the plushes sold in the gift shop so I decided to make my own. Go Deacs!
